1. Move more
It is true that we have a more sedentary culture than we have ever been in the past. Studies have indicated that women who have little or no cellulite tend to move a lot during the day. Although exercising might not cure cellulite, it will prevent you from getting more. Working out tightens the skin and muscles, making cellulite to be hardly noticeable. It also lowers estrogen levels, which tends to encourage the formation of cellulite, thus the less the estrogen the less the cellulite.
2. Eat a healthy diet
Eating a well balanced diet reduces body inflammation, strengthen your connective tissues and help in maintaining a healthy weight. Although it may not help you get rid of the cellulite which you have already, it will keep you off others. Remember to stay hydrated too!
3. Get a massage
A massage has the effect of enhancing circulation, and some practitioners have stated that it may also help in breaking cellulite. You can ask your masseuse to combine your massage with cellulite reduction wraps. The wraps include natural ingredients known to smoothen and tighten the skin. Considering that some cellulite treatments are costly, massage is preferred.
4. Lift weights
It is natural to lose weight with age but it could also accelerate the development of cellulite. Muscle building might not make the existing cellulite to disappear, but it tends to harden the skin’s appearance. This has the effect of making cellulite less noticeable and is also great for general healthy.
5. Get accustomed to dry brushing
If you are not used to dry brush before you shower or bathe, you need to consider starting. It is a great way of exfoliating the skin from head to toe. Just use a skin brush and use it to massage the area in circular motions. Start from the toes and go all the way to the neck. To tackle cellulite, you can do the same after showering, but this time use coconut oil too.
